WHAT HAPPENS AFTER BANKRUPTCY
Filing for bankruptcy was something my husband and I really dreaded. We really didn’t have another way to get out of the debt we were in. We had some health problems that made our bills escalate out of our control. We had to take out loan to pay for medical bills and now we were having trouble paying the loans. Things come unexpectedly and there is nothing you can do about them. A lawyer explained all our options and advised us that filing for bankruptcy was the best solution for us. As much as we didn’t want to do it we could not avoid bankruptcy. From start to finish, everything was taken care of for us by our lawyer. We were safe for now with regards to our debts It was the after bankruptcy we had to worry about now. In the immediate future, our credit took a severe hit, so the likelihood that we will be able to get credit again in the near future is very slim. While bankruptcy can relieve you of the debts you owe, it stays on your credit record for ten years and it can even be very difficult to apply for a job, home or even a car.
