My husband and I invited my new in-laws to visit us in Chicago from their home in Wisconsin. I was very nervous having his parents stay with us for the first time. We had only met once before. They came down to Chicago the week before our wedding and helped with all the last minute details for our small wedding. We got along just fine because preparations for the wedding kept us busy. They have lived in a small town in Wisconsin all their lives. Their big evening out was going to a bar and doing some line-dancing. They had never visited Chicago before and were leery of its reputation. It would be so different from their small town. My in-laws felt very comfortable in our home and I introduced them to all our friends. We had plans for almost every evening so they could see all the exciting sites of Chicago. What most impressed them was the wonderful entertainment available here. They really enjoyed all Chicago has to offer. They said they were even thinking of moving to Chicago! They hate the thought of all the work involved with moving so the only other solution I have is to call some relocation services to help them. I guess I impressed them and so did Chicago.
