MEETING DOWNTOWN

We went to a meeting downtown yesterday after work. It of course had to do with building client relations. We in the advertising business must keep on top of client relations. Our bread and butter depends on it. It’s a very hectic industry. When you have a child, it’s doubly hard, because you feel you spend too much time away from her. This particular night, our babysitter, who was thoughtful enough to give me her cell phone number a couple days ago, which I still have to remove from underneath those brochures about bankruptcy laws at the office, was allowed to take our daughter to get an ice cream cone. We trust our babysitter to take great care of our daughter. She has been Natalie’s babysitter for three years now, starting when she was thirteen. Natalie thinks she should be her sister, and used to insist she had to stay “home.” But Natalie has learned that it’s okay that her babysitter has her own family. I am grateful that Natalie has someone that she can relate too, who is so kind and patient with her. We are going to meet them at the ice cream parlor in a little while.
