JOB INTERVIEW
Once, months ago (during the summer I think), I actually had a job interview with ADT Home Security. Before the interview, I had no idea what the job involved other than the name of the company was ADT Home Security. I showed up and they gave this little booklet to read about the various home security devices that were available and could help protect any home from intrusion. Then they listed them and I had to come up with a price for all of them. I guessed around a thousand and actually got really, really close. According to the woman who was interviewing me, I got closer than any other job candidate. Then I learned that the job was a sales job. Not only was it a sales job, but it was a door to door sales job. Basically, you have an area and you canvass it, going from house to house, telling people all the information they need about ADT Home Security and then you call in your boss to close the sale. Having had bad experiences with sales jobs before, I declined since I’m just not a naturally gifted salesman, not that I have anything against that type of job. If you’re good at it, you can make a lot of money.
