As I was sitting in my apartment today and watching TV, I suddenly heard a rattling above my head and then the walls started to shake a bit. I figured that the neighbors who lived in the apartment above mine must have been moving heavy furniture or something like that, but that theory was quickly disproven. A water pipe flew through my ceiling as water was spewed everywhere and the ceiling cracked and chipped where the pipe had fallen through. I am now browsing personal injury attorneys because the pipe that fell out of my ceiling just so happened to fall very conveniently onto my left foot. The fall wasn’t too high, so the impact was not major, but it was enough to break three of my toes and make a small fracture in my shin. I can not believe that I have been living in an apartment complex with managers incompetent enough to allow for something like this to happen. There must have been some sorts of hints that the piping was not in prime condition. Are there not some sorts of tests that the complex managers are legally obligated to perform? When I find an attorney out of all of the personal injury attorneys that I have been browsing, I am going to sue the managers of this apartment complex for all that they are worth.
