The cost of lasik has gradually come down to be very reasonable, and lasik eye surgery was a big option for me. I got the procedure done last month, and paid less for both eyes than a good pair of eye glasses. It's funny, certain things go down in price, while certain things go up. I'm just glad that lasik has gone down. This procedure is like electronic things. The price keeps going down. That's a good thing. Good for everybody. Not so good for retail glasses stores and eyeglass manufacturers. I think that some day the procedure will be so low that even people on a very limited budget will be able to afford the procedure, and they won't be able to even find glasses. I priced it out at a number of doctors and clinics, and each one seemed lower than the next. That was the good thing. I wanted to get it done, as I was always losing eyeglasses and was sick of the cost and trouble of replacing them. I won't be bothered with losing glasses anymore. Good thing. The cost of glasses keeps going up too. I told my friend, Ed, that he should think about having it done. He is thinking about it. He and his girlfriend, Sue, will both have it done? Both are sick of glasses and contacts. Tara is going to have it done. Soon. She has her doctor picked out.
